Seeking Knowledge

"I know what I need to do, I'm just not in the right mind space for it yet"

This thought process gets shaken up after learning the above terrifying truth.

Whether it's performing Salah, doing good deeds, praying Quran, giving in Charity, embracing Hijab, letting go of Sinful actions etc.

We love to hear and speak about the mercy of Allah and His blessings. It brings calmness to the heart.

BUT at times we need to hear the painful reality of the grave and hell. Remind ourselves that we were created for one purpose only. To worship and that there WILL be a day of Judgement... His punishment is severe. So act on the knowledge we have before it's too late.

Having knowledge and ignoring it or not applying it to our lives is a grave sin. When do we plan on acting upon the knowledge?

Sufyan al-Thawri's mother: My son, do not seek knowledge unless you intend to act upon it. Otherwise, it will be a calamity upon you on the Day of Rising.

We don't need to live in a state of fear in the negative sense. In Islam, when we refer to fear: its God consciousness. Fear of God is out of love and respect.

May Allah swt make us amongst those that act upon the knowledge he has bestowed on us, ameen
