If you like how a company or a person is doing something.
Take a min to let them know.
It takes weeks to implement new systems and months to see how its performing. If you see a new product or service as an IG post, it is probably taken months of work to launch.
Your feedback is like a pat on the back. It brings a smile & sigh of relief. Positive recognition.
Many years ago, I remember someone emailed to tell me they loved my website and how intuitive it was. Since most Islamic sites seemed outdated and "lacked a modern approach" at the time.
I didn't have budget to hire a developer and the DIY websites weren't as advanced as they are today. So my only way of measuring effectiveness of my design and user experience layout was through performance.
The kind words by a few individuals gave me the reassurance that I was doing something right.
As Muslims, we're not always as supportive to each other. Maybe its slowly improving with our generation.
If you speak to a Muslim owned businesses and their experiences during Eid at the peak of the pandemic with lockdowns and shipping delays, you wouldn't believe the types of emails they received
Trust me, anyone who looks like they have it all figured out.. doesn't. Because with growth of a company comes more learning curves. More systems and risks. Sure they know the path better but there's always a new territory they're exploring.
Maybe you like the experience when you ordered, or the packaging, or the gift, or a promotional/ instructional video.
Randomly drop in and say "I love watching your cake making process, it's so therapeutic".
Business aside, make it a habit to encourage each other.
"I love how you're raising your kids"
"Love how you're always smiling and staying positive."
"I'm amazed at how you cared for your sick parent. You're so brave"
We underestimate the power of a good word. Kindness can transform someone's darkest moment. We don't know what anyone is going through.
Do good & good will come to you
