Ayat Ul Kursi
The Story: The Prophet PBUH said that Allah swt descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night and says, "Who is calling Me, so that I may answer him? Who is asking Me so that I may grant him? Who is seeking forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?". The closest any worshipper can be to His Lord is during the last part of the night (Tirmidhi). To know if Allah swt loves you and is pleased with you, see if you consistently wake up for the night prayer. The sins we commit during the day can shackle us, making it difficult to wake up during this honorable time. Let's ask Allah swt to make us amongst those who are able to spend those special moments in the dark with him.
The circular patterns on the painting depict the different types of moons we see during these nights. The gradient effect on the left illustrates the transition of the sky while the white streaks symbolize descending angels.
Medium: Acrylic & mixed media. Painted canvas is wrapped around a 2 inch thick wooden frame. Ready to hang.
