The Story:

Inspired by the journey of Hajj. This piece reflect on the various moments a pilgrim will experience when undertaking this life changing journey. The silver circles represent the tents in the valley of Mina where pilgrims pray and spend the first night. The words of Talbiyah are recited during the Hajj, following in the sunnah of the beloved Prophet PBUH, Labaik Allah Humma Labaik, Labiak Laa Sharika Laka Labaik (‘Here I am, oh Allah, here I am, Here I am, you have no Partner, here I am). The three lines signify the stoning of the Devil in the tradition of the Prophet Ibrahim A.S. as he rejected the Devil’s temptation to disobey Allah S.W.T command. The flower pattern symbolizes purity and serenity. It is narrated in a hadith that whoever performs the Hajj without sin will leave having been purified, in the same way a newly born child enters this way (to the nearest meaning).

May Allah S.W.T grant us all the chance to perform Hajj at-least once.
