How Does The Auction Work?
AUCTION SITE:
Click the "Join Auction" button to visit the Live Auction site.
OPEN AN ACCOUNT:
To participate, you will be required to open an account and provide your contact details. When placing your first bid, you will be redirected to your account profile page to enter your contact details. If you plan on joining the auction later, it is highly recommended that you click 'ACCOUNT' to create your profile to avoid missing out on a bid.
START PLACING BIDS:
Once logged in, you can place real-time bids directly from the collections page or by clicking on a painting to bid from its product page.
EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS:
You will receive an email confirmation each time your bid is successfully placed, as well as a notification if you are outbid.
IDENTITY:
You may choose to remain anonymous on the public site while placing a bid.
LIVE BID AMOUNTS:
On the collections page, you will see the current bid amount for each painting. To view all bids placed, visit the product page.

The live auction updates bids in real time.

POPCORN BIDDING:
Bids placed within the last 5 minutes of the auction will extend the timer by an additional 2 minutes. This continues until no further bids are placed, preventing sniping and site crashes while ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to bid before the auction closes.
PROXY BIDDING:
Enter the maximum bid you are willing to submit for a painting. This amount remains hidden from other bidders. If someone places a bid, the system will automatically increase your bid in increments until it surpasses your maximum proxy amount. If someone bids higher than your proxy bid, you will be notified via email.

Post-Auction
SUCCESS CONFIRMATION
Email: Once the auction is complete, the winning bidder will receive an automated confirmation email. The artist will follow up with a separate email.
Invoice: A separate email will include the invoice, outlining the winning bid amount along with packaging and delivery fees (as stated below).
PAYMENT
The following payment options are available:

PAYMENT
The following payment options are available:
- Wire Transfer: Confirmation of the wire transfer must be sent within 48 hours of auction completion. No fees are applied to wire transfers. If additional time is required, this can be discussed with the artist.
- Credit Card: A payment link can be provided. For USD payments, a 3.5% fee applies to cover the Shopify processing charges. For non-USD payments, a 5% fee applies to cover both the Shopify charges and the currency conversion fee.
Note: No taxes will be applied to international purchases (non-Canadian).
Runner-Up Bidder
If the winning bidder fails to complete payment within the allotted timeframe, the painting may be offered via email to the next highest bidder. An acceptance confirmation will be required before an invoice is issued.
Delivery Charges
All paintings will be shipped from Toronto, Canada.
CRATES: The paintings are professionally crated for secure shipment. The process takes up to five business days.
DELIVERY:
Due to the holiday season, the shipping options will be discussed with the winning collector after the auction.

Note:
- Typically, there are no duties charged on original artworks entering the US or UK for personal use. However, if the destination country imposes taxes, tariffs, duties or related charges, the collector will be responsible. We will complete all necessary paperwork and contact you if we require any verification documents.
