The Story

This painting conveys a powerful message of trust in God's plan and His ability to protect and guide his devoted believers. The artwork is divided into two distinct halves, each representing opposing elements of this miraculous event. On the left side, a rich earthy brown symbolizes the raging fire prepared by the idol worshippers to consume Prophet Ibrahim AS.

At its centre, a radiant copper sun emanates warmth, signifying the intense heat, heightening tension and imminent danger as he is being catapulted into the fire in front of a massive crowd. He was alone, not one supporter in the crowd. As he was being casted, the last words that Ibrahim AS said were, "Husbunallah Wani'mal Wakeel." Amongst God's beautiful names is Al-Wakeel, the one who can be trusted with all our affairs.

This one powerful statement transformed the scorching blaze into a soothing aura of protection. The textures resemble snowflakes in a serene winter's landscape, a metaphor for the miraculous cooling effect that Allah, the Almighty, bestowed upon him.

The heart of the artwork lies in the central tunnel, which bridges the gap between these two opposing sides. It represents the journey of faith, illustrating that even in the darkest of times, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Reciting this verse with conviction in God's plan; with humility and submission, during our most challenging moments, will lead to miracles.

Each time this verse is mentioned in the Quran, Allah mentions that it removes harm and paves the way for goodness to come into our lives.
