Calligraphy: Surah Fatiha

The Story

Inspired by the famous Hadith where the Prophet PBUH took a stick and drew a straight line in the sand and said, “this is the straight path to Allah swt.” He then drew lines in different directions to show the many paths of misguidance. In the Quran, the correct path is in the singular. Sirat does not occur in the plural. The paths of falsehood and evil are in the plural. We recite Surah Fatiha during every salah, in which we ask Allah swt to show us the straight path. The path is crystal clear, and so is the truth, unlike the obscure messages hidden beneath the sand in this painting. For this reason, we believe that anybody who wants to find the Sirat al-mustaqim or the truth will be able to find it with ease if he is sincere in his efforts. It will pour out.

Perfect Ramadan Gift

I got a set of these pieces for my colleagues for Ramadan, and it was absolutely PERFECT. I shared a personalized message and why each one reminded me of them. It was such a meaningful way to not only start Ramadan, but to remind myself how integral it is to be reminded of such core Islamic values and stories. Highly recommend purchasing as a gift!

Loved the thought behind the art

It's a beautiful piece, with so much meaning to each stroke. And what better way to be reminded of why we recite the Al-fatiha 17 times a day! The only thing is I bought the poster, to fit in my small frame. It doesn't do the art justice! The next time I buy from saleha art I will definitely be buying a big canvas piece- will save up $$ to do that!
